Privacy Policy

PIJ Inc. (ピー・アイ・ジェイ株式会社) (hereinafter, the "Company") sets forth this Privacy Policy (the "Policy") regarding the handling of personal data in relation to the "AI-VideoAuth" service (the "Service") provided by the Company.

This Policy applies to the handling of personal data and related information that the Company collects through the Service, including its website, APIs, and dashboards.

    The Company collects the following information when a user creates an account:
    • Free / Pro plans: The only required personal data at registration is the email address.
    • Business and higher plans: In addition to the email address, the Company may request additional information for identity verification and fraud prevention, such as:
      • Name (contact person)
      • Company name, department, title
      • Address / country
      • Information contained in identity documents (where necessary)
    Passwords are stored only in a hashed form and are never stored in plain text.
  2. Payment Information
    Credit card information is managed by our payment processor, Stripe, and is not stored on the Company's servers. The Company receives only tokenized payment information, billing status, plan details, and other data necessary to manage subscriptions and payments.
  3. Usage Logs and Technical Information
    To ensure service stability and security, the Company may collect:
    • Access timestamps and IP addresses
    • Browser type and version, operating system information
    • Pages viewed and operation logs
    • Error logs and performance-related information
  4. Video Files and Metadata
    As the Service is designed to verify the originality and tampering status of videos, the Company collects uploaded video files and related metadata such as hash values, AI authenticity labels, confidence scores, and edit-history hash chains. Video files are stored on cloud storage services (e.g., AWS S3) designated by the Company.

3. Purposes of Use

The Company uses collected data for the following purposes:

  1. To provide, maintain, operate, and improve the Service
  2. To perform identity verification and prevent unauthorized or fraudulent use
  3. To process payments, manage subscriptions, and handle billing
  4. To respond to inquiries and provide customer support
  5. To send important notices and updates about the Service
  6. To create statistical data in a form that does not identify individuals
  7. To comply with legal obligations and respond to legal processes

4. Legal Basis

The Company processes personal data primarily on the basis of performing a contract with the user (i.e., providing the Service under the Terms of Use) and on the Company's legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service. Where required by applicable laws, the Company will obtain the user's consent before processing personal data.

The Service may use cookies and similar technologies to maintain login sessions and understand usage patterns. Users can disable cookies through their browser settings; however, this may result in certain features of the Service not functioning properly.

7. Retention Period

The Company retains personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy and as required by applicable laws and regulations. After a user terminates their account, data may be retained for a certain period for legal, accounting, or security purposes, after which it will be deleted or anonymized.

Users may request access to, correction of, addition to, deletion of, or restriction of processing of their personal data held by the Company, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
