AI VideoAuth Service Terms of Use

(Effective Date: December 5, 2025)

Article 1 (Application of These Terms)

  1. These Terms of Use (hereinafter, "Terms") stipulate the conditions for using the SaaS service (hereinafter, "Service") provided by ピー・アイ・ジェイ株式会社（PIJ Inc.） (hereinafter, "Company") and shall apply to all relationships between the registered users (hereinafter, "User") and the Company regarding the use of the Service.
  2. The User is deemed to have agreed to these Terms by using the Service.

Article 2 (Contents and Use of the Service)

  1. The User shall use the Service in accordance with these Terms and the guidelines separately established by the Company.
  2. The Service is a cloud-based digital SaaS product designed to help verify the originality of videos and detect tampering. No physical goods are provided or shipped.
  3. The Company may change, add, or abolish the content or specifications of the Service without prior notice to the User.

Article 3 (Usage Fees and Payment Method)

  1. The User shall pay the usage fees in accordance with the pricing plan separately determined by the Company as consideration for the use of the Service.
  2. Usage fees are displayed on the pricing page in U.S. Dollars (USD), inclusive of consumption tax for customers located in Japan, and shall be paid exclusively by credit card via Stripe's payment processing. The actual billed amount in Japanese Yen (JPY) depends on the exchange rate and fees set by the User's credit card company.
  3. The Company may change the usage fees to the extent permitted by law. Any changes to the fees will be announced on the Company's website or by other appropriate means before they become effective.

Article 4 (Contract Period and Automatic Renewal)

  1. The contract period for the Service shall be the period selected by the User at the time of application (e.g., monthly or annual).
  2. Unless the User or the Company gives notice of termination at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the contract period, the contract shall be automatically renewed under the same conditions, and usage fees for the next period will be incurred.

Article 5 (Cancellation and Refund)

  1. Cancellation by User: Users may initiate the cancellation procedure for the Service at any time via the management screen.
  2. Fees and Refunds: Even if the cancellation procedure is completed, no refunds (including pro-rata refunds for mid-period cancellation) will be provided for fees already received. Users will be able to use the Service until the day before the next renewal date.
  3. However, in cases of double billing, system errors, or other issues attributable to the Company that result in incorrect charges, the Company will provide refunds within a reasonable scope.
  4. Except as specified in these Terms, the Company shall not be liable for any damages incurred by the User due to the interruption, suspension, or termination of the Service.

Article 6 (Intellectual Property Rights)

  1. All copyrights, patent rights, trademark rights, and other intellectual property rights related to the Service and all related content belong entirely to the Company or a third party who has licensed them to the Company.
  2. The intellectual property rights of data uploaded or transmitted by the User through the Service (User Content) belong to the User. However, the Company may use the User Content to the extent necessary for the provision, maintenance, and improvement of the Service.

Article 7 (Prohibited Matters)

The User shall not perform any of the following acts when using the Service: acts that violate laws or public order and morals, acts that infringe upon the intellectual property rights or other rights of other Users or third parties, acts that interfere with the operation of the Service, unauthorized access, or using the Service to facilitate illegal activities, among others.

Article 8 (Disclaimer)

  1. The Company does not guarantee that the Service is suitable for the User's specific purpose, will operate without interruption, or that no defects will occur.
  2. The Company shall not be liable for any damages incurred by the User due to natural disasters, failures of communication lines or cloud infrastructure, or the suspension, malfunction, or other issues of external services used by the Service (such as Stripe or AWS), or for any other reasons not attributable to the Company.

Article 9 (Damages)

If the User violates these Terms and causes damage to the Company, the Company may claim compensation from the User for such damage. However, the Company's liability is capped at the total amount of usage fees paid by the User in the immediately preceding one-year period.

Article 10 (Changes to These Terms)

The Company may change these Terms by notifying the User when it serves the general interests of the Users or when there is other reasonable cause. The revised Terms will apply from the effective date set by the Company.

Article 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

The governing law for these Terms shall be the laws of Japan. All disputes concerning the Service shall be submitted to the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Company's head office as the exclusive court of first instance.
